The Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest proposes establishing several recreation fee sites. Fees would support operation, maintenance, and improvement of the sites, and nearby sites with similar amenities were used to assess the proposed fees as reasonable and typical. Proposed fees are $10 per night at Mill Falls Campground, $15 per night at Pine Grove and Falls Creek Campgrounds, and $55 per night for rentals of Forest Lake and Highwood Cabins. If approved, the sites and fees would be established no earlier than six months after publication; the proposals will be reviewed by a Recreation Resource Advisory Committee after public involvement.
