Description

APHIS has prepared a pest risk analysis evaluating risks associated with importing fresh passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) for consumption from Viet Nam into the United States. It determined that one or more designated phytosanitary measures would be sufficient to mitigate the risks of introducing or disseminating plant pests or noxious weeds through these imports. The pest risk assessment, risk management document, and information on economic considerations are available for public review and comment through December 18, 2026. After considering comments, APHIS will announce its decision regarding the import status of the fruit in a subsequent notice.
