Description

The Department of Defense proposes to extend its approved information collection requirement under DFARS Parts 223 and 226, concerning occupational safety and drug-free work force requirements. The collection requires offerors and contractors to provide information under contract clauses addressing hazardous-material warning labels, ammunition and explosives safety, places of performance, safeguarding sensitive arms and explosives, and drug-free work force programs. DoD uses the information to verify compliance, monitor safety and security requirements, and support contractor recordkeeping. The existing OMB approval runs through January 31, 2027, and DoD proposes an extension that would expire three years after approval; comments are due by December 18, 2026.
