Miami-Dade County is seeking a high-capacity shredder and related support for its Records Management Department. - Government buyer: Clerk of the Court and Comptroller of Miami-Dade County, through the Clerk of the Board and Procurement Department. - OEM: Formax is the named manufacturer of the requested FD 8906CC shredder; an approved equivalent may be proposed with manufacturer and model identification and supporting technical documentation. - Products requested: - One new Formax FD 8906CC industrial shredder with output conveyor, or approved equivalent. - OEM-recommended or OEM-approved lubricating oil: an estimated 12 gallons annually, supplied in sealed manufacturer packaging with a Safety Data Sheet. - Shredder requirements: At least 400 sheets per pass and P-3 paper security or better; continuous conveyor feeding and discharge; processing of paper, cardboard, tapes, CDs, magnetic disks, staples, paper clips, and credit cards; automatic lubrication, start/stop, reverse, and jam clearing; required safety features; and 220V, three-phase, 60Hz, 50A electrical service. - Included and related services: Delivery, unloading, positioning, installation, on-site testing, staff training, and warranty support. The machine must be ready for use with required manuals and compliance and warranty documentation; the OEM warranty must cover the machine and parts for at least one year. - Post-warranty support: As-needed on-site maintenance and repair, estimated at 15 hours annually during the contract term, performed by authorized or properly qualified technicians. Parts are billed at cost without markup. - Timing and location: 36-month contract term; delivery is required within 30 business days of the purchase order. Delivery and installation are at the Miami-Dade Public Library System loading dock in Miami. - Bidder qualification: Bidders must provide OEM-issued evidence of current authorized or certified distributor status and an OEM website listing, whether offering the specified Formax model or an equivalent.
