The City of Lake Forest is seeking quotes to refresh CCTV recording hardware and upgrade its Milestone video-management platform across five facilities. - Government buyer: City of Lake Forest, City Manager, Information Technology (IT). - OEMs and named technology vendors: Dell (existing PowerEdge servers), Milestone (XProtect video-management software), and Intel (processor option; Intel Quick Sync Video is recommended for hardware-accelerated motion detection). Replacement server makes and models are not prescribed. - Hardware requested: Five replacement NVR servers—two at City Hall Civic Center and one each at Skate Park, Heroes Park, and El Toro Park—plus compatible ECC RDIMM memory for the existing Sports Park Dell PowerEdge R7460XS. The scope calls for 64GB total RAM at Sports Park, although the pricing line is labeled “32GB RAM”; the required memory-module quantity and part number are not specified. - Software and services: Upgrade Milestone XProtect from 2019 R1 to the newest enterprise release using City-purchased licensing. Perform site assessments, recommend and install hardware and approved operating systems, back up and migrate configurations and camera feeds, integrate existing NAS storage, test the systems, and provide as-built documentation. - Operational requirements: Support approximately 125 camera feeds across the five facilities; preserve or document recording-server static IPs so cameras do not need reconfiguration; configure NAS archiving for two-year retention; and verify feeds, motion detection, recording, archives, and client connectivity. New, supported, warrantied equipment is required; used or refurbished equipment is prohibited. - Performance period: No contract duration or period of performance is specified.
Description
The City of Lake Forest is seeking proposals to refresh and modernize its CCTV Network Video Recorder infrastructure at five locations: City Hall Civic Center, Sports Park, Skate Park, Heroes Park, and El Toro Park. The work includes mandatory site assessments, new enterprise-grade hardware at four locations, and a memory upgrade to the existing Sports Park server. The selected vendor will upgrade Milestone XProtect from version 2019 R1 to the latest enterprise release using licensing already procured by the City, and migrate approximately 125 camera feeds without changing camera-side IP configurations. Work also includes integrating the servers with the City's existing NAS, testing system functionality, and providing as-built documentation.
