Description
This Request for Comments invites vendors to review and comment on draft proposed work for developing and operating Commercial Safety Rest Areas along Highway 2 between Calgary and Edmonton. The feedback will help Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors develop and clarify a subsequent Negotiated Request for Proposals. The proposed scope covers up to three sites: Dickson-Stevenson Stopping House, Wolf Creek SRA, and a proposed site near Millet; vendors would develop, operate, and maintain facilities with amenities including all-season washrooms, safe parking, and commercial services. The Province anticipates that the later NRFP will seek lease proposals and states that rent will not be charged.
