NASA/NSSC is assessing whether to proceed with a sole-source award for precision cleaning and calibration of mission-critical hardware at Kennedy Space Center. - Opportunity: Services for select flight and ground-support hardware, performed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC). - Intended provider: NASA/NSSC intends to award to Precision Fabricating & Cleaning Company, Inc., identified in the notice as the sole provider; capability statements may inform whether the work is competed. - Work requirements: Precision-clean hardware to KSC specifications and contamination-control requirements; calibrate gauges, load pins, and measurement hardware to KSC/NASA requirements; return items with certifications and traceable quality records. - KSC support and handling: KSC furnishes specialized soft goods, seals, O-rings, gaskets, kits, proprietary hardware, specifications, and acceptance criteria.  SPECIAL NOTICE:

VENDORS MUST REFERENCE THE NOTICE ID WHEN SUBMITTING A CAPABILITY STATEMENT.

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Precision cleaning and calibration of select mission-critical hardware. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to PRECISION FABRICATING & CLEANING COMPANY, INC 3975 E Railroad AVE Cocoa, Florida 32926-5975 United States under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that PRECISION FABRICATING & CLEANING COMPANY, INC. is the sole provider of Precision cleaning and calibration of select mission-critical hardware.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Kennedy Space Center (KSC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541380.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 10/20/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

NOTE: Quotes received in response to this notice will NOT be considered and will not be evaluated by NASA’s Technical End User Team. We are currently only requesting Capability Statements.
