Structural Integrity Repairs at Tinker AFB Building 1134

The Department of the Air Force is seeking construction repairs to restore structural integrity at Building 1134, Post 34, and the north wall at Tinker Air Force Base. - Government buyer: Department of the Air Force; Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), PZIOC; Tinker AFB 72 ABW Civil Engineer Directorate provides civil engineering support. - Project: WWYK260004 / solicitation FA813727R0001; one firm-fixed-price construction project to repair the degraded north-wall shear braces and damaged base of east Post 34 in the South 40 area. - Specified manufacturers/products: Simpson Strong-Tie connectors MPB66Z, CCQ86SDS2.5, and ML24Z; approved equivalents are allowed. The Metal Store OK MS-SNAP panels are the stated design basis for replacement metal wall panels. - Construction materials and details: Replace deteriorated wood columns, braces, and girts with treated Southern Pine No. 2; repair the damaged truss bottom chord; install new concrete footings and matching metal wall panels with trim. Material quantities are not stated. - Footings: 24 × 24 inches by 4 feet deep, reinforced with four #4 vertical bars and #3 ties. - Truss repair: sandwich the existing 2×4 bottom chord with two 2×4 members, using 24 nails at each end (12 per face). - Connectors: MPB66Z column bases use 24 specified screws each; CCQ86SDS2.5 column caps use 16 screws into the beam and 14 into the column; ML24Z clips use six screws each. - Additional work: Provide shoring, demolition, field verification, drainage grading of asphalt, an interior vented opening, and painting of new wood members. Posts are specified in Safety Yellow and other new wood members in Extra White. - Quantity and value: One project; estimated magnitude is $100,000–$250,000. - Performance: Begin within 10 calendar days after Notice to Proceed and complete within 195 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. No option periods or annual subscription are specified.

After review of the project specific documents, if you are a Tinker AFB – MAC BOA Holder, please send an email to the Contracting Points of Contact as an RSVP stating you are interested in attending the Initial Site Visit. 

Your RSVP email must be received within 5 calendar days from the posting of this project.  In your RSVP, please let us know if all personnel that will be attending the Initial Site Visit have base access.  If anyone requires base access, you must forward with your RSVP the Entry Access List (EAL) so that we can know how many personnel require base access.   ***** ONLY MAC BOA Prime Contractors are to RSVP, Subcontractors are to inform at least one Prime Contractor of their intention to attend and if a Subcontractor requires base access, they must be sponsored by a Prime Contractor.

After receipt of your RSVP by October 20, 2026 COB CST and EAL if required, an Initial Site Visit is set for October 22, 2026 @ 10am CST–– B1134. RSVP required for TIME of the inital site visit. A calendar invite will be sent out to those who RSVP.

You must attend the Initial Site Visit for the project to be considered eligible to propose.
