The Department of the Air Force is researching an 8(a)-set-aside IDIQ for painting and related construction work at Hill Air Force Base and nearby test-range locations. - Government buyer: Department of the Air Force / U.S. Air Force; Hill Air Force Base Operational Contracting Office, with work involving the 75th Air Base Wing and Hill AFB Civil Engineering. - Opportunity: Task-order painting, wall-covering, maintenance, repair, and minor construction services at Hill AFB, Little Mountain Test Annex, and the Utah Test and Training Range. - Potential work: Surface protection and preparation; cleaning, coating removal, patching, caulking, and minor repairs; priming and interior or exterior painting; specialty and protective coatings; wall-covering removal or installation; pavement and facility striping; cleanup, waste handling, quality control, and coordination with other trades. - Notable requirements: Emergency response personnel must be available at Hill AFB within two hours. Work must meet applicable safety, environmental, hazardous-material, and VOC controls. Specified exterior colors include Federal Paint 300099 Dakota Brown and 23617 Greystone; typical surface finishing calls for one primer coat and two latex finish coats. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or vendors are named. No fixed product quantities or part numbers are provided; project scope and quantities will be set by task orders. - Performance period: The market-research attachment anticipates a five-year base ordering period with a possible six-month extension, for no more than five years and six months. Another attachment does not state an overall period, so dates and duration remain subject to the final contract.

Description

The Government is conducting market research regarding the potential establishment of an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the execution of a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction painting projects affecting real property at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), Little Mountain (LM), and the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR).

Work Tasks (WTs), also referred to as Task Orders (TOs), may be issued under the resulting contract to define specific project requirements involving construction-related painting services.
