Description
The Coast Guard announces that it will not require electronic submission of mariner course completion data before November 25, 2028, because the submission system is not yet fully operational. Coast Guard-approved training providers were previously required to submit the data electronically, and the Coast Guard expects the relevant Navita mariner training provider module to become fully operational in January 2028. The Coast Guard will notify the public in the Federal Register before requiring electronic submission and will provide guidance. Until then, mariners should continue submitting course completion certificates to the National Maritime Center with their credential applications.
