MCPS fiber Internet access and transport, scalable to 500 Gbps

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks proposals for scalable, fiber-based Internet access and associated transport for approximately 255 MCPS sites, delivered directly to one or both designated District data centers. The service must provide full-duplex throughput from a 60 Gbps base level up to 500 Gbps, with pricing for each 10 Gbps increment and for both data center locations. Respondents must separately identify E-rate-ineligible components and provide cost allocations; the attached RFP and addenda contain the complete requirements. The RFP specifies an initial five-year contract term, with up to five additional one-year renewal terms at MCPS’s discretion.
