Turnkey renovation of the Richard Craig Park Athletic Complex

Henry County is seeking a turnkey renovation of the Richard Craig Park Athletic Complex in McDonough, Georgia. - Government buyer: Henry County Board of Commissioners, through Henry County Parks & Recreation and the County Purchasing Department. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, brands, or contractor vendors are named; the County seeks a qualified turnkey contractor. - Requested work: Provide and coordinate all labor, materials, equipment, and services to renovate eight baseball and softball fields, the Sunshine League therapeutic field, concession facility, batting cage, and related site and utility infrastructure. - Renovate fields with demolition, earthwork, laser grading, drainage improvements, replacement irrigation, certified 419 Bermuda sod, and infield mix and topdressing. - Create an ADA-accessible therapeutic playing surface with cushioning; upgrade the concession facility; and convert the existing batting cage into a five-station training complex with synthetic turf and sliding curtain dividers. - Provide reinforced-concrete sidewalks and accessible routes, equipment pads, retaining curbs, dugout roof systems, 9-gauge galvanized chain-link fencing, backstop systems with overhead safety netting, 30-foot backstop support poles, gates, 20-foot foul poles, athletic padding, custom windscreens with county and city logos, and home-run markers. - Remove the existing score tower slab and provide electrical infrastructure and connections for scoreboards and irrigation controllers; restore areas disturbed by construction. - Modernize the concession building with LED lighting, electrical upgrades, commercial restroom improvements and partitions, epoxy wall coatings, painting, ventilation, and accessibility upgrades. - Notable requirements: Deliver a fully operational facility; meet applicable ADA requirements; coordinate utilities and permits; locate and protect underground utilities; and perform the work in two phases to limit disruption to park programming. Fields 1–5 are to be completed and returned to the County before work proceeds on Fields 6–8, the therapeutic field, concession building, batting cage, and remaining site improvements.

Henry County is seeking proposals for a complete turnkey renovation of the Richard Craig Park Athletic Complex for Henry County Parks & Recreation. The work includes phased renovation of eight conventional baseball and softball fields and the Sunshine League therapeutic field, along with improvements to the concession facility, batting cage, and associated site infrastructure. Scope includes field grading and drainage, irrigation and sod replacement, accessible routes and surfaces, fencing and backstop systems, electrical work, and related improvements needed to deliver a safe, accessible, tournament-quality facility.
