Raleigh boiler maintenance, inspection, testing, and emergency repair services

The City of Raleigh Engineering Services Department is seeking ongoing service for 25 boilers across City facilities. - Government buyer: City of Raleigh, Engineering Services; buyer contact named in the attachment: Steven Chelini. - Scope: Annual boiler inspection, testing, and cleaning, plus emergency troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance reporting. - Boiler OEMs named: Aerco, Kewanee, Knight, Lochinvar, Peerless, and Raypack. Some equipment entries spell Lochinvar as “Lockinvar.” No service contractor or reseller is named. - Inventory: 25 boilers, each listed with quantity 1, at community centers, municipal buildings, and other City sites. See the complete inventory in product_line_items. - Notable service requirements: Manufacturer-authorized technicians; emergency response around the clock, every day of the year, with a guaranteed four-hour response to begin diagnosis. Emergency repair corrective action is required within a City-set period of no more than four hours from notification. Annual service includes equipment checks, cleaning, combustion testing and adjustment, and a detailed report for each facility. Some sites may require after-hours service without an after-hours surcharge. - Term and pricing: The contract term and renewal options are not defined in the RFP. The fee schedule requests pricing for Years 1–5. No estimated contract value is provided.

Description

The City of Raleigh is seeking proposals from one or more firms to provide boiler maintenance, testing, inspection, and repairs for the boilers listed in Appendix V. The detailed scope of services is provided in Section 4 of the RFP. Electronic bids are not permitted; proposals must be submitted according to the instructions in the attachment. The proposal deadline is November 5, 2026, no later than 3:00 PM EST.
