San Clemente Arterial Street Paving and Marking Improvements

The City of San Clemente is seeking a contractor for arterial street paving and marking improvements under FY 2027 Project No. 17354. - Government buyer: City of San Clemente, Public Works Department, San Clemente, California. - Scope: Mobilization; traffic control and temporary striping; street sweeping and dust control; temporary drainage protection; pavement milling and asphalt paving; crack filling; and pavement markings. - Major quantities: 75,500 SF of cold milling across three depths; 1,430 tons of hot-mix asphalt; 280 cubes of crack filling; and 4 portable changeable message signs. - Named OEMs and products: Wanco changeable message signs, or approved equal; Maxwell Products Elastoflex 670 (Polyskin) hot-applied crack sealant, furnished by the City. - Markings: The schedule includes thermoplastic lane, bike-lane, no-passing-zone, crosswalk, and other roadway markings, plus painted bicycle markings and parking-stall numbers. The contractor must hold a California Class A license, maintain DIR registration, comply with prevailing-wage requirements, and meet project-specific stormwater requirements.

Description

The City of San Clemente is soliciting bids for arterial street improvements, including mobilization, traffic control, street sweeping, crack filling, mill and fill, striping, and related work described in the specifications. The work must be completed within 50 working days from the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted electronically by November 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Contractors must hold a California Class A license.
