The Bureau of Land Management is seeking a contractor to create and deliver interpretive and informational signage for the Garnet Hill Recreation Area and nearby Egan Crest sites. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office; Ely District; Bristlecone Field Office. - Scope: Develop content and artwork, fabricate specified signs and exhibit bases, and deliver signage for Garnet Hill Recreation Area, Egan Crest Trailheads, and campgrounds. - Products requested: - 2 kiosk panels, each 48 × 48 inches and 3/4-inch-thick CHPL, for one double-panel kiosk. - Artwork for 15 fee-site scan-and-pay overlay panels, approximately 6 × 18 inches; the contractor does not fabricate these panels. They use Rec.gov instructions and leave space for a BLM-added QR code. - 16 interpretive panels, generally about 24 × 36 inches, made from 1/8-inch-thick CHPL; contractor develops content and artwork, fabricates, and delivers them. - 16 NPS-style, 45-degree exhibit bases, sized for the interpretive panels; all-aluminum construction with dark-brown powder coating. - Interpretive subjects: Garnet formation; the rock cycle and rock types; Great Basin and Garnet Hill formation; Great Basin climate; historic mining; trees, reptiles and arachnids, small mammals, birds, plants and forbs, biocrusts and lichen; and Shoshone language and culture. - Services and deliverables: Research and prepare sign content and artwork, coordinate with BLM resource specialists, incorporate BLM review comments, and provide electronic drafts and final files for approval. Deliver production and reduced-size PDFs plus editable Adobe Illustrator files with 0.25-inch bleed for each sign panel. - Named OEMs and vendors: No sign or kiosk manufacturer, OEM, or contractor is identified. Rec.gov is referenced as the platform for fee-site instructions; NPS is referenced as the exhibit-base style. Neither is identified as the sign manufacturer. - Notable requirements: Follow BLM Visual System Guidelines and provide accurate educational, safety, rules, fee-site, and trail/map information. BLM provides the trail system map and adds QR codes to the overlay panels.
