One New All-Electric Vehicle for the City of Iowa City Housing Division

The City of Iowa City is seeking one new all-electric vehicle for its Housing Division. - Government buyer: City of Iowa City, Equipment Division; vehicle use is for the Housing Division. - OEMs and vendors: No vehicle manufacturer, make, model, or vehicle vendor is named. Bidders must identify the proposed year, make, and model and provide manufacturer literature and an itemized quote. - Product and quantity: One new all-electric vehicle; no part number is specified. - Minimum vehicle requirements: Front-wheel drive, a lithium-ion battery of at least 60 kWh, a range of at least 200 miles per charge, and seating for at least four adults. - Required features: Onboard 120-volt charger package and necessary charging cables; regenerative braking; four-wheel anti-lock brakes, traction control, and stability control; power front and rear windows; two-speed intermittent windshield wipers; and, for a hatchback or SUV, a rear wiper and washer. Also required are a rear-window defroster, power locks with remote keyless entry, power-adjustable mirrors, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with factory Bluetooth, auxiliary input and hands-free capability, tilt steering, cruise control, and a factory-installed rear-view camera. - Interior, exterior, and included items: Full carpeting, front and rear all-weather rubber mats, cloth seats, four key sets with remotes, and one owner/operator manual. Exterior must be white or silver, with white preferred; interior must be dark gray or black. - Warranty and support requirements: Minimum warranties are 3 years/36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper, 5 years/60,000 miles on the powertrain if applicable, and 8 years/100,000 miles on EV components. A factory-approved warranty repair facility must be within 30 miles of Iowa City. - Delivery: Delivery is required approximately 120–150 calendar days after purchase order issuance; delivery and shipping charges must be included in the bid price.

The City of Iowa City Equipment Division is soliciting bids to purchase one new all-electric vehicle for use by the Housing Division. The vehicle must meet the minimum specifications in the Request for Bid, including front-wheel drive, a minimum 60 kWh battery and 200-mile range, and seating for at least four adults. Bidders must submit their bids online through Ion Wave and include the required product description, itemized quote, and manufacturer’s literature.
