Description
CMEI intends to issue, on behalf of AFFO, a NOFO for financial assistance awards supporting science and engineering and energy innovation. The planned opportunity would solicit technologies that use domestic biomass and pipeline resources to expand energy production and distribution. Areas include stable liquid intermediate products made from biomass, market-priced commodity chemicals and fuels made from alternative feedstocks using existing refinery assets, and pilot sites for blended hydrogen-natural gas that simulate gas distribution networks. This notice is informational only; comments and applications are not being requested at this time, and a future NOFO may differ or may not be issued.
