The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking an operator for a flexible, 42-bed residential treatment program for high-risk male youth. - Buyer: Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), Bureau of Procurement and Contract Administration. - Requested program: Operate a residential program for males ages 13–18, with bed allocations adjusted to DJJ’s treatment needs. - Core treatment services: Provide Mental Health Overlay Services (MHOS) and Substance Abuse Treatment Overlay Services (SAOS), along with delinquency programming, health and nursing care, academics, and career and technical education. - Additional capabilities: DJJ may add treatment for intensive mental health needs, co-occurring disorders, borderline intellectual functioning, developmental disabilities, medically complex needs, or juvenile sexual offending as its needs change. - Facility options: Use DJJ’s facility at 286 Gene Hurley Road in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, or a respondent-owned or leased facility elsewhere in Florida. - Notable requirements: Provide continuous awake staff supervision, clinical staffing and services seven days a week, and integrate DJJ’s electronic health record requirements. - OEMs and vendors: No product manufacturers, OEMs, or prospective service vendors are named. Description

The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a 42-bed high-risk residential program for males ages 13 to 18 who require Mental Health Overlay Services (MHOS) and/or Substance Abuse Treatment Overlay Services (SAOS). Program services include delinquency programming and treatment, health and nursing services, academic services, career and technical education, and the applicable mental health and substance abuse overlay services. The program may be located in the Department-owned building at 286 Gene Hurley Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, or in a respondent-owned or leased building elsewhere in Florida. At contract execution, MHOS and SAOS are required; the Department may add other service types according to its needs and intends to award a single contract.
