NASA is seeking capability statements for a proposed sole-source effort to build six thrusters at NASA Glenn Research Center. - Agency and need: NASA Shared Services Center (NASA/NSSC), for NASA Glenn Research Center’s Advanced Metallics Branch, seeks materials and labor to build six assembled thrusters. - Technical requirement: The thrusters must function using an Ocelot 1.2F thruster or a similar equivalent and accommodate NASA-provided prebuilt thrust chambers (government-furnished equipment). Assembly is to take place at the contractor’s facilities; no engine non-recurring engineering is assumed. - Procurement approach: NASA intends to pursue a sole-source procurement. Capability statements are requested to help determine whether the requirement should instead be competed. Quotes and oral responses are not accepted; submissions should reference the notice ID. - Delivery timing: Sixteen weeks after receipt and acceptance of the order. - Information not stated: The notice and attachment do not identify a specific Ocelot 1.2F manufacturer, detailed material specifications, part numbers, or a contract value.
