Fort Knox offers one load of scrap deformed small-arms cartridge casings for sale

Fort Knox’s Qualified Recycle Program is offering one load of deformed, demilitarized small-arms cartridge casings for sale. - Government buyer: U.S. Army, Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program, Recycle Branch. - Material offered: approximately 40,186 lb of casings with primers, packaged loose in 15 gaylord boxes. - Calibers identified include .50 caliber, 5.56 mm, and 7.62 mm; the offer table also lists 9 mm, while the specifications list blanks instead of 9 mm. - Box reimbursement: the buyer reimburses the program $18 per box, or $270 for all 15 boxes. - Pickup and handling: the buyer must provide a 53-ft van trailer and collect the load at Fort Knox within 10 working days after award and agreement signing; loading and pickup must occur during the program’s shipping hours. - No OEMs, commercial vendors, or part numbers are identified.

The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program is issuing an invitation to bid on the Sale of Scrap Deformed Small Arms Fired Cartridge Casings. This is a Government Sale. The duration of this solicitation is for 1 load. If interested, please open the attached sales solicitation/agreement, complete and return to the Fort Knox Recycle Center. Ensure the solicitation is filled out completely to include a signature, date, address, telephone number, and initials on each page in the designated fields.
