GO-Biz is seeking a provider to help California medical-device companies assess overseas markets and prepare to enter them. - Government buyer: California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), Business & Economic Development, International Affairs and Trade. - Program scope: Research and prioritize international markets for California medical-device companies whose products have applicable U.S. FDA clearance, approval, authorization, or exemption; deliver training, company-specific market-fit assessments, coaching, and connections to overseas partners. - Program phases and services: - Market research: develop an evaluation methodology and scoring matrix, prioritize markets, and provide reports and supporting research. - Virtual training: recruit companies and provide export-readiness training on the five highest-priority markets, including captioned, transcribed MP4 modules and live office hours. - Company diagnostics: assess up to three priority markets requested by each eligible company, provide written comparisons and recommendations, and hold an individual 30-minute consultation. - Accelerator delivery: support selection of up to 20 eligible California small medical-device companies; coach each selected company on a market-entry action plan for one market, arrange three to five virtual matchmaking meetings per company, and organize legal seminars covering up to five company-selected markets. - Measurement and reporting: track program participation, training, assessments, coaching, partner meetings, market-entry plans, outcomes, and participant satisfaction; provide progress reports and a final report. - Notable requirements: Training materials must include captions and transcripts and be delivered to GO-Biz in MP4 format. The program also requires partner due-diligence records, meeting summaries, and final company and program assessments. - Budget: Recommended budget is $120,000; proposals above $150,000 will not be considered. - OEMs and vendors: No product manufacturers, OEMs, or prospective service providers are named in the opportunity. This is a professional-services program, not a purchase of medical devices.

GO-Biz International Affairs and Trade is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to research, identify, and evaluate international markets for California medical-device companies. The selected proposer will identify markets with strong commercial potential, feasible regulatory pathways, and appropriate market-entry opportunities for products with applicable U.S. FDA clearance, approval, authorization, or exemption. The proposer will design and implement a market-acceleration strategy providing participating companies with market intelligence, individualized market-fit assessments, coaching, and connections to qualified in-market partners.
