This procurement is for a purchase order NTE $900,000 for FDA-approved radiopharmaceuticals for patient care by the Nuclear Medicine Division, Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the NIH Clinical Center. CARDINAL HEALTH is a reputed and reliable FDA and US NRC vetted supplier of the required radiopharmaceuticals by the Clinical Center. Based on the past 25 years of contracting with this vendor, this vendor is the only acceptable vendor because they provide a comprehensive list of radiopharmaceuticals that uniquely meets the patient needs of the NIH Clinical Center. They are the only provider that can supply all radiopharmaceuticals that emit gamma, positrons, beta and/or alpha radiations. They also use a patented tungsten delivery system for dispensing the high energy positron radiopharmaceuticals. This system minimizes radiation exposure to the staff and the public, as well as meeting the weight standard that reduces the potential weightlifting injuries to the staff.
