The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management announces the availability of the Proposed Notice of Sale for Cook Inlet Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas One Big Beautiful Bill Act Lease Sale 2 (Lease Sale BBC2). The proposed sale document describes its proposed size, timing, and location, including lease stipulations, terms and conditions, minimum bids, royalty rates, and rental rates. Comments from affected State Governors and local government executives are due to BOEM by December 14, 2026. Bid opening is currently scheduled for March 3, 2027.
