The City of Carson is seeking qualified firms to develop and deliver a flexible, citywide digital display and public communications program. - Government buyer: City of Carson, Purchasing Division; the solicitation identifies the Purchasing Manager as the responsible office contact. - Opportunity: RFQ/P #26-005Q seeks firms for an integrated program that may include digital banners and message displays, archways and gateway features, a digital billboard, interactive kiosks, and temporary or event-related displays. - Products and quantities: Supporting streetlight poles, foundations, electrical and communications infrastructure are also contemplated. No specific quantities, locations, configurations, brands, or part numbers are established; firms are expected to help define the final scope. - Services: Potential work includes planning, feasibility, design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, content management, staff training, marketing, branding, advertising, sponsorship development, operations, maintenance, warranties, and technical support. - Program requirements: Content-management capabilities may support City communications, community information, emergency messages, events, destinations, advertising, and sponsorships, subject to City oversight. Proposals may also address lifecycle upgrades, ownership and operating models, private investment, and revenue-sharing or other cost-offset approaches. - Notable considerations: The project scope and business model remain preliminary, and the City anticipates project costs above $1 million. The program is intended to support public communications and a major international sporting event, with potential to serve as a long-term City resource. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, manufacturers, or vendors are named as required in the provided materials. - Related agreement template: The attachments include a blank design-build agreement describing design and construction phases, but it does not establish project-specific scope, compensation, schedule, or duration. It notes prevailing-wage compliance for construction and a minimum one-year workmanship warranty.
