Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations and Maintenance at Lajes Field

The U.S. Air Force is seeking a contractor to operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and related systems at Lajes Field in the Azores. - Government buyer: U.S. Air Force, 765th Air Base Squadron (765 ABS), including the 765 ABS/Civil Engineering Installation Environment office; contracting office 765 ABS CONF (FA4486). The solicitation names Jovita Salvador. - Requirement: Provide continuous operation and maintenance of an 800,000-gallon-per-day activated-sludge wastewater treatment plant, 14 lift stations, 8 oil-water separators, and 2 grease traps in Praia da Vitória, Terceira, Portugal. - Work includes: 24/7 operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, sampling and laboratory analysis, sludge testing, reporting, corrosion control, housekeeping, and qualified staffing. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

 “Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.”
