The City of Seattle’s Office of Economic Development is building a consultant roster to provide project-based business assistance to local small businesses and nonprofits. - Government buyer: City of Seattle, Office of Economic Development (OED). - OEMs and vendors: No product OEMs or consulting vendors are named in the solicitation. The City of Seattle is the buyer. - Services requested: Consultants may apply to one of four categories: Accounting & Bookkeeping; Marketing & Branding; Business Development; or Loan Support, which may include succession and business-transition readiness. - Accounting support may include bookkeeping, accounting software setup or cleanup, financial reporting, cash-flow analysis, budgeting, payroll-related assistance, nonprofit accounting, and tax or regulatory help when appropriately credentialed. - Marketing support may include strategy, research, brand positioning, SEO, digital marketing, e-commerce, and market-entry planning. Recurring marketing operations and standalone logo, graphic design, or collateral production are excluded. - Business Development support may include business planning, pricing, profitability, workflows, operating procedures, CRM or software implementation, licensing, and stabilization. - Loan Support may include financing-readiness assessments, financing education, organizing application information, debt-management assessments, and readiness action plans. Regulated legal, tax, valuation, brokerage, or transaction services are not replaced. - Rates and quantities: Hourly rates are requested for direct consulting, approved program administration, and specialized professional services. No quantities, minimum assignments, hours, or compensation are guaranteed. - Notable requirements: Applicants may select only one service category. OED authorizes engagements based on client needs, approved expertise, capacity, funding, and program priorities. Consultants must define scopes and deliverables, document hours and outcomes, and complete required closeout and coordination. - Period of performance: Anticipated one-year service period during 2027, subject to contract execution, budget approval, and funding availability. No option years are specified; this is not an annual subscription.

Description

The City of Seattle Office of Economic Development is seeking qualified consultants for a roster to provide specialized technical assistance through its Accounting and Business Consulting (ABC) Program. Eligible Seattle small businesses and nonprofit organizations may receive services at no cost in one of four categories: Accounting & Bookkeeping, Marketing & Branding, Business Development, or Loan Support. Consultants will provide defined scopes and practical deliverables, document results, and work within a City-managed program; selection does not guarantee assignments, hours, or compensation. The anticipated service period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, subject to contract execution, budget approval, and funding availability.
