The Alaska Legislative Affairs Agency is seeking seasonal landscape rehabilitation and groundskeeping services for state legislative properties in Juneau. - Government buyer: Legislative Affairs Agency, Alaska Legislative Branch, Procurement and Supply Section; procurement contact is Ernest Daigle, Procurement Manager. - OEMs and vendors: No product manufacturers, OEMs, or commercial vendors are named; this is a services procurement. - Locations: State Capitol at 120 4th Street; Terry Miller Legislative Office Building at 129 6th Street; Legislative Finance Building at 430 Main Street; and Assembly Building Apartments at 211 4th Street. - Services requested: - One-time initial rehabilitation at the Terry Miller and Legislative Finance buildings, including inspection and recommendations, corrective pruning, unwanted-vegetation control, plant and soil care, approved groundcover and bulb restoration or replacement, mulch, and cleanup. - Recurring seasonal groundskeeping across the listed service areas, including seasonal cleanup, weeding, mowing, trimming, edging, watering, fertilization, pruning, plant care, pest and disease monitoring, approved annual flowers, and litter and debris removal. The service fee is proposed weekly and calculated using 26 weeks per season. - Additional repairs, replacements, enhancements, reseeding, planting, or corrective work may be performed only with prior written authorization and would be billed separately at proposed labor and materials rates. - Notable requirements: Protect existing plantings; use horticultural practices appropriate to Juneau; obtain written approval before removals or work beyond the stated scope; and maintain detailed service records. Routine labor, supervision, travel, equipment, water, routine treatments, mulch, and incidental supplies are included in the recurring fee. - Term and service pattern: Approximately a two-and-a-half-year initial term, with two optional one-year renewals. Routine service is seasonal, generally running May through October; initial rehabilitation is a one-time first-season requirement.
Description
The Legislative Affairs Agency is seeking proposals for professional groundskeeping and landscape maintenance at the Alaska State Capitol Complex in Juneau, Alaska. The work includes protecting and maintaining recent landscape improvements at the Alaska State Capitol, rehabilitating designated landscaped areas at the Terry Miller Legislative Office Building and Legislative Finance Office Building, and ongoing maintenance of the covered landscaped areas. Further work details are provided in Section Two of the attached RFP. The notice describes a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit on October 22, 2026.
