Long Beach Utilities is seeking a vendor-neutral consulting assessment and roadmap to prepare its utility operations for a future Enterprise Asset Management program. - Government buyer: City of Long Beach, Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD), Operations Bureau; Water Quality and Process location. - OEMs and named vendors: No OEMs, software manufacturers, or vendors are named. Review current processes, systems, asset-management practices, and relevant industry standards; identify gaps; and develop a future-state operating model and prioritized requirements. - Deliverables and planning: Provide a phased EAM implementation roadmap, planning-level cost and resource estimates, governance and change-management recommendations, presentations, knowledge transfer, and closeout. - Optional services: The consultant may provide later procurement, software-selection, implementation, and post-implementation support with prior written authorization. The proposal must include an allowance equal to 20% of the fee for base Tasks 1–6. A separate optional extra-services task is based on 15% of the non-optional base scope. - Line items: One base consulting engagement and one quantity each for optional procurement/implementation support and optional extra services. Description
The Long Beach Public Utilities Department seeks a professional consulting firm to provide an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Readiness Assessment and Implementation Roadmap. The project will assess the department’s organizational, operational, technological, and data readiness for planning and implementing an EAM program. Work includes an independent evaluation of existing systems, business processes, asset management practices, and applicable industry standards, resulting in a roadmap for future EAM procurement, implementation, governance, and user adoption.
