NIH is seeking maintenance for a government-owned Leica EM UC7 Ultramicrotome used by its electron microscopy and laboratory teams. - Government buyer: National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director (OD); Office of Logistics and Operations (OLAO), Office of Acquisition and Logistics Management (OALM), Hospital and Laboratory Support Division. - OEM: Leica Microsystems Inc., the manufacturer of the equipment and intended maintenance provider. - Requested service: One maintenance agreement for the Leica EM UC7 Ultramicrotome, serial number 597268. - Includes one preventive maintenance visit each year, repairs, labor, travel, and replacement parts. - Service includes inspection, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, calibration, and testing as needed, plus emergency repair service. - Work must be performed by factory-trained personnel; replacement parts must be new and meet original equipment specifications. - Consumables and imaging laser parts are excluded. - Users and location: The equipment supports the CMPB EM Core and DIR and DTT labs; performance is in Durham, North Carolina. - Term: One base year with four option years, for up to five years total; one preventive maintenance inspection is included per year if all options are exercised.
