The Hendry County School Board is seeking proposals for internal funds auditing services. The internal auditor will conduct ongoing financial verification, a comprehensive risk assessment of all areas of the school system every five years, and other audits and reviews as directed by the district school board. The work includes assessing internal controls, legal and policy compliance, operational efficiency, financial records, asset safeguarding, solvency, projected revenues and expenditures, and changes in the general fund balance. The audit scope covers every functional and program area of the Hendry County School District, and the auditor must report findings to the district school board or its designee and be available to meet in person or virtually.
