The City of Long Beach is seeking a contractor to replace the docks and upgrade related marina infrastructure at Alamitos Bay Berths 1 and 2. - Government buyer: City of Long Beach, Public Works Department, Capital Improvement Program; project plans also identify the Parks, Recreation, and Marine Bureau, Marine Bureau. - Scope: Remove and dispose of the existing wood docks, gangways, hinges, and utilities; construct and install replacement docks and gangway; and complete associated utility, electrical, firewater, accessibility, safety, and site-restoration work. - Primary dock structures: One 250-by-9-foot concrete floating dock, one 9-by-3-foot concrete landing float, one 80-by-6-foot aluminum gangway, and a concrete gangway abutment and hinge. - Utilities and electrical: Four power pedestals, one 100A yacht power substation, two EV chargers, a sewage pumpout station, potable-water and sewer systems, and a firewater system. Plans also call for three bollard pole lights, LED rope lighting, and four marine solar warning lights. - Named OEMs and specified products: KECO Model M55 sewage pumpout station (5 HP, 55 GPM); Henderson dock hardware, including 18-inch 504H cleats (Item 05-11N), a 3000 heavy-duty utility fender (Item 03-05), No. 800S stainless-steel attachment nails (Item 08-320), and Model 310 vinyl side bumper; ChargePoint CT4000 EV chargers; Marina Electrical Equipment, Inc. or approved equal for the yacht power substation; LightHonia Lighting bollard pole light fixture; and Potter Roemer Model 1995 fire extinguisher cabinets. Approved equals are allowed where specified. - Other site work: Install guardrails, sidewalks, curbs, handrails, a curb ramp, pavement markings and tactile warning surfaces, trash enclosures, marine signage, and related improvements; relocate water utilities, repair irrigation and concrete, secure and restore the staging area, and clean up the site. - Notable requirements: Coordinate construction to support continued facility use. Provide required contractor submittals and shop drawings, including engineer-approved drawings for structural components; complete electrical and plumbing installations to the project plans. - Performance period: Approximately 11 months, with a contract period spanning late 2026 through 2027.
