Raypak hydronic boiler replacement and installation at Austin State Hospital

Texas HHSC is seeking a contractor to replace a hydronic boiler at Austin State Hospital with a like-for-like Raypak unit and complete the related installation and commissioning work. - Government buyer: Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), Procurement and Contracting Services; the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) may also use the resulting contract. - OEM: Raypak — the specified boiler manufacturer and brand. - Products requested: - One Raypak H7-1104A MVB hydronic boiler (part number H7-1104A MVB). - One new flue vent system. - One system temperature sensor, with associated piping and fittings. - Services requested: Remove and dispose of the existing boiler and vent; install the new boiler and related items; reconnect suitable existing utilities and hydronic connections; refill and purge the loop; start up, test, adjust, and commission the system. - Notable requirements: Work must be performed by a licensed plumbing or mechanical contractor. An emergency on-site response within one hour of notification is required. Repairs or replacements of existing components found defective or unsuitable are handled as additional work. - Location: Austin State Hospital, Austin, Texas.

Description

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s Procurement and Contracting Services division is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for boiler installation and demolition at Austin State Hospital. HHSC and DSHS may use any contract awarded. An optional on-site visit is scheduled for October 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM Central Time; attendance is encouraged but not required. Bid responses are due November 2, 2026, at 10:30 AM Central Time.
