The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) is seeking one complete mobile shore-power cable reel assembly for Husky Terminal operations. - Buyer: The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), Procurement. - Product: One new skid-mounted mobile shore power cable reel assembly; no part number is specified. - OEM examples: Vahle Shore Power Skid (SPS) and Cavotec Skid-Mounted PowerExtend, or an approved equal. - Key equipment requirements: - Two medium-voltage cable paths, each with at least 200 feet of active reeling length; one red and one blue. - Compatible shore-side male plugs and vessel-side female couplers for the existing 6.6 kV, three-phase, 60 Hz shore-power system; at least 350 A continuous capacity per path. - Reel drive, brake, controls, interlocks, communications and pilot circuits, forklift-enabled skid, grounding and bonding, cable-protection channels, and an onboard gasoline generator supplying 480 V auxiliary power. - Included services: Engineering and coordination, stamped structural design, site visit and interface verification, delivery and assembly, factory and field acceptance testing, commissioning, demonstration, and at least two normal workdays of classroom and hands-on training. - Support requirements: Written manufacturer’s warranty covering all parts and labor for at least five years; on-call technical support and reasonable performance-related modifications for 90 days after the equipment enters service; corrective action on warranty failures within 72 hours; and repair-parts and product-support capability for at least ten years after delivery. - Delivery: Within 190 calendar days after contract execution.
Description
The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) is soliciting bids to purchase one new skid mounted mobile shore power cable reel to support its terminal operations. The equipment is to meet or exceed the specification requirements in Attachment C. The solicitation anticipates awarding one contract and includes requirements for a minimum five-year parts-and-labor warranty and repair parts and product support for at least ten years. Bids are due November 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
