Other meetings are billed at hourly rates. Work includes application completeness reviews within 45 days of submission, zoning analyses, written reports, and scheduled meeting attendance. - Attorney rate caps: Partner $170/hour; Associate $140/hour; regularly scheduled Board meeting $700 per meeting. Other meetings are billed at hourly rates. - Stenography rate caps: in-person certified court reporter $400 per meeting; overtime after 11:30 p.m. $75/hour; postage for delivery within 10 business days $10 per meeting; transcripts $7.50 per page. - Travel expenses are not reimbursable for any service category. Respondents must demonstrate relevant qualifications, experience, references, professional and financial capability, and availability; identify primary and alternate providers with resumes; explain their understanding of the Board’s needs; and confirm that services will not be subcontracted. - Evaluation considers experience and reputation, knowledge of the City and subject matter, availability for Board meetings, and other relevant factors. The Board may qualify multiple providers and may choose not to award a contract.
Description
The City of Summit Zoning Board of Adjustment is soliciting qualification statements for 2027 engineering, planning, attorney, and/or stenography services. The selected firms or individuals will provide services to and for the Board and must demonstrate the professional, administrative, and financial capabilities to perform the work. Qualification statements will be evaluated based on experience and reputation, knowledge of the City and subject matter, availability for Board meetings, and other relevant factors. Responses are due October 29, 2026, by 4:00 p.m. prevailing time.
