Description
The Town of Pomfret is seeking sealed bids from qualified construction contractors for State Project No. 111-126, Air Line Trail Reconstruction and Accessibility Improvements, funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program administered by CT DOT. Work includes constructing a stone dust trail segment from Route 44/169 in Pomfret to the Quinebaug River in Putnam. Other work includes tree removal, drainage improvements, grading, fencing, minor landscaping, an access ramp and retaining walls, a staircase connecting to the Quinebaug River Trail, and restoration of disturbed areas. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 21, 2026, and bids are due November 6, 2026.
