Anna Independent School District is seeking fiber connectivity for its new Ora Bell Russell Elementary School campus. - Buyer: Anna Independent School District (Anna ISD), Technology Department; Anna, Texas. - Requested services: - Dedicated dark-fiber connection between the District Administration Building and the new school. A lease requires four strands of single-mode fiber; a purchase requires at least 48 strands. Fiber must support 40 Gbps. - Leased point-to-point Ethernet fiber between the same locations, with Ethernet handoffs at both ends and a 10 Gbps committed information rate. - Key requirements: Turnkey delivery, maintenance and repair, 99.9% availability, and 24/7/365 network operations center support. Dark fiber must use LC-type patch panels and include testing data in the as-built package. Lit-fiber demarcation points must be identified. - Term and delivery: A five-year lease is preferred for either option. Construction is planned for the first half of 2027, with service required by mid-2027. For purchased dark fiber, the District prefers one-time construction costs plus annual maintenance. - OEM: Cisco is identified as the manufacturer of existing Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Meraki network equipment; these products are not being requested. - Funding context: The District plans to seek E-rate reimbursement. The dark-fiber and lit-fiber options are evaluated separately.

Description

Anna ISD is requesting proposals to provide network connectivity for a new elementary school scheduled to open in August 2027. The RFP seeks proposals for two service categories: purchased or leased dedicated dark fiber, and leased lit point-to-point Ethernet fiber, between the district administration building and Ora Bell Russell Elementary School. Service must be delivered by July 1, 2027, and proposals may cover either or both categories, which will be evaluated separately. The District intends to seek reimbursement through the E-rate program under FCC Form 470 #270001385 for the 2027 funding year.
