Description
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is seeking public comments on its intention to request OMB approval to extend the existing Travel Monitoring Analysis System (TMAS) information collection. The collection covers traffic volume, vehicle classification, speed and weight, as well as nonmotorized data, provided by State Departments of Transportation. FHWA and other Department of Transportation agencies use these data for highway performance management, safety and travel analysis, and transportation planning. Comments are due December 8, 2026.
