Description
The National Credit Union Administration proposes revising the NCUA Call Report (Form 5300) to collect data about credit unions’ involvement with payment stablecoin activities. Proposed changes add Schedule J accounts for reporting reserve-asset custody, cryptographic key custody and control, direct exposure to permitted payment stablecoin issuers, and payment stablecoins held on credit unions’ balance sheets. The revised form and instructions are submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for review and clearance, and are proposed to take effect with the March 31, 2027, report date. Comments must be received on or before December 8, 2026.
