Description

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking public comments on its plan to request OMB approval to renew information collection OMB 2133-0011, “War Risk Insurance, Applications, and Related Information.” The information is used to determine applicant and vessel eligibility for the War Risk Insurance program, including eligibility for government insurance when commercial insurance is unavailable on reasonable terms. The forms also identify requested insured perils and document the applicant’s eligibility and intent to operate insured property in U.S. waterborne commerce in accordance with MARAD warranties. Comments are due by December 8, 2026.
