No vehicle makes, models, repair quantities, or part numbers are specified. - Scope includes diagnostics and mechanical, engine, transmission, drivetrain, brake, suspension, steering, electrical, HVAC, fuel and emissions, tire, welding, and fabrication work. - Contractor provides labor, supervision, tools, equipment, diagnostic systems, and parts. Parts must be OEM or City-approved equivalents; no specific OEM or vendor is named. - Notable requirements: Obtain City approval of written estimates before performing repairs; provide service reports and status updates; support emergency and after-hours requests; and meet applicable manufacturer, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Minor repairs are due within five business days, and emergency or priority service is required within 72 hours. Major repair schedules are subject to City approval. - Minimum labor warranty is 30 days. Description

The City of San Buenaventura is soliciting proposals for light duty vehicle repairs through a Request for Proposal. Proposals must include one signed hard copy in a sealed envelope marked with the proposal number and one PDF electronic copy emailed to the Purchasing Representative. Sealed proposals must be delivered to the Purchasing & Contracts Division at 501 Poli Street, Room 102, Ventura, CA 93001. The response deadline is October 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM PST.
