Park City Municipal Corporation’s Water Department is seeking engineering firms to design six water and stormwater infrastructure improvements. - Government buyer: Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Water Department. - Opportunity: Professional engineering design for six capital improvement projects; firms may propose for one or more projects. Design work includes investigations as needed, plans and specifications, construction phasing, cost estimates, utility coordination, and permitting support. - Projects and scope: - Woodside/Norfolk/Sampson: Replace approximately 3,800 LF of waterline in two segments; evaluate 10- or 12-inch C-900 PVC sizing, with water-system modeling informing final sizing. Includes approximately 50 water services, six on-site connections, three off-site connections, and four hydrants/appurtenances on-site; evaluate trenchless construction for the off-site segment. - Royal Street West: Replace approximately 1,500 LF of 10-inch waterline with 10-inch C-900 PVC; includes approximately 11 connections, 10 water services, five hydrants, one pressure-reducing valve (PRV), and fiber conduit with junction/pull boxes. - Estates Phase II/Four Lakes: Replace approximately 6,000 LF of 8-inch waterline with 8-inch C-900 PVC; includes approximately two connections, 63 water services, and 17 hydrants/appurtenances. Design two independently constructible phases. - Park Avenue: Replace approximately 4,600 LF of existing waterline and install approximately 2,500 LF of new 10-inch C-900 PVC water main; replace or line approximately 4,500 LF of storm drain and install approximately 1,150 LF of new storm drain to Empire Creek. Includes approximately 100 water services, 11 connections, 11 hydrants, three PRVs, and fiber conduit; plan approximately three phases. - Equestrian Court: Design approximately 220 LF of new 36-inch storm drain with one catch basin, one junction/cleanout manhole, and one flared-end outlet; abandon the existing storm drain to the residential pond in place. - Park City stormwater improvements: Assess approximately 2,250 LF of Park Meadows trunk line and evaluate relining; design improvements in the Holiday Ranch and Arabian areas and replace approximately 750 LF of storm drain and inlet boxes on Aerie Drive. - OEM and named organizations: ADS is the only named manufacturer/brand, specified for the Equestrian Court storm drain. C-900 PVC, ductile iron, and corrugated metal pipe (CMP) are material or pipe references, not named manufacturers. PCMC will coordinate with the Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District (SBWRD) on sewer infrastructure and utility conflicts. - Notable design considerations: Maintain water service during construction; assess trenchless or bored methods where appropriate; coordinate utilities and sewer infrastructure; account for possible bedrock, high groundwater, wetlands, potentially mining-impacted soils, easements, outfall permitting, runoff capture, and debris management as applicable. - Deliverables and timing: Bid-ready designs for the Park Avenue and Park City stormwater projects have a later completion deadline than the other four designs. The agreement is intended to run through completion of the assigned design work; no option years or annual subscription are specified.
Description
Park City Municipal Corporation is seeking statements of qualifications from professional engineering firms for design services on six planned Water Department capital improvement projects. Services include developing complete, bid-ready design documents, including construction plans, technical specifications, construction cost estimates, and project-specific design work for water and stormwater infrastructure. Respondents may submit qualifications for one, multiple, or all six projects. Final design documents are due by January 31, 2027, for most projects, and by March 31, 2027, for the Park Avenue and Park City Stormwater Infrastructure Improvement projects.
