NSWC Crane DI Water System Leasing and Treatment Services

The Department of the Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is seeking firm-fixed-price de-ionized water system leasing and treatment services for its plating-shop, laboratory, and batch-cleaner operations under solicitation N00164-27-Q-0001. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), NSWC Crane. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, brands, or service vendors are named in the solicitation materials. - Equipment requested: Lease one 3.6-cubic-foot DI water system and one 1.2-cubic-foot mixed-bed DI system. No model or part numbers are specified. - The 3.6-cubic-foot system must supply a 500-gallon storage tank and laboratory simultaneously at 8–10 gallons per minute and 30 psi, meet the specified water-quality requirements, and occupy no more than 30 square feet. - The 1.2-cubic-foot system serves a 40-gallon water heater supplying a batch-cleaner system. - Services and quantities: Ten service CLINs cover the base period and four option years. Each year calls for four service lots for the 3.6-cubic-foot site and one service lot for the 1.2-cubic-foot site. The 3.6-cubic-foot system includes quarterly exchange of its ion-exchange beds and cartridge filter, plus an annual carbon exchange; the 1.2-cubic-foot site is exchanged quarterly. - Notable requirements: Contractor provides installation and plumbing adaptations, system maintenance, regeneration, filters and replacement parts. Regeneration and hazardous-material handling/disposal must take place off site. The contractor must provide 24/7 emergency service and respond to Government service notifications within 24 hours. - Performance period: One base year plus four option years; a possible extension of up to six months is also referenced. Options depend on Government approval and funding.

This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR Part 12 as a written .  Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N00164-27-Q-0001 is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. 

All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Contract Opportunities on https://sam.gov/.  It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor https://sam.gov/ for any amendments, which may be issued to this solicitation. 

For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a quote will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
