The U.S. Army is seeking seasonal outdoor heater and misting-fan rentals, with delivery and ongoing support, for Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall access-control locations. - Government buyer: Department of the Army; Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Belvoir; Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Police Department. Brian Daniel is named in the attachment. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, manufacturers, or vendors are named in the notice or attachments. - Equipment requested: - 8 outdoor diesel infrared heaters, each rated at least 150,000 BTU. - 8 outdoor misting fans, each at least 24 inches, oscillating, with multiple speeds, a 110V connection, and a water tank supporting at least four days of use. - Locations and use: Equipment supports eight access-control locations across Fort Myer, Fort McNair, Arlington National Cemetery, and Henderson Hall. Heaters and fans are deployed in alternating seasons. - Services and requirements: Contractor provides seasonal delivery, placement, setup, testing, inspection, maintenance, and recovery; compatible outdoor-rated electrical cords; and labor, tools, and materials for diagnostics, repairs, and replacement. Fans require weekly fresh-unit exchanges for cleaning of tanks and water lines. Emergency support must be available 24/7, with repair or replacement capability within four hours. Routine maintenance is conducted during standard business hours, and equipment must meet applicable safety requirements. JBMHH supplies fuel, water, and electricity.
Description
The Government intends to acquire a contract to provide eight (8) outdoor heaters and eight (8) misting fans, to be exchanged seasonally, for use at the access control points identified in the Specific Tasks section. All units will be operated outdoors and must be suitable for exposure to environmental elements. The Contractor shall provide, emplace, maintain, and recover all equipment. JBMHH will furnish fuel, water, and electricity necessary for operation. The Contractor shall inspect all equipment provided, including ensuring that all electrical cords are adequate and compatible with the required electrical supply.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, and technical expertise required to perform diagnostics, repairs, replacements, and stabilization actions. Routine maintenance shall be conducted during standard business hours; however, the contractor must maintain continuous on-call support to respond to critical failures such as electrical hazards, complete equipment shutdown, or conditions that render the gate unsafe or inoperable. All work shall comply with applicable Army, DoD, and installation safety standards, ensuring uninterrupted support to access control operations.
