The USDA Forest Service is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services at two ranger-station/visitor-center locations and seasonal sanitation at Shasta-Trinity National Forest recreation sites. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Forest Service, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Mt. Shasta–McCloud Ranger Districts; contracting office listed as CSA Southwest 1. Kari D. Hughes is named in the attachment. - Opportunity: Campground/day-use sanitation and office janitorial services. The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside under NAICS 561720; no vendors or OEMs are named. - Locations and work: Mt. Shasta Ranger Station and Visitor Center; McCloud Ranger Station and Visitor Center; and 10 recreation day-use sites, including Bunny Flat, McBride, McCloud Reservoir, Lower/Middle/Upper Falls, Lakin Dam, Camp 4, Cattle Camp, and Algoma. - Office work includes restroom cleaning and restocking, trash removal, floor care, kitchen and breakroom cleaning, high-touch disinfection, monthly dusting, quarterly carpet/window cleaning, and annual deep cleaning. - Day-use work includes toilet cleaning and restocking, trash and litter removal, minor cleanup of contamination, and service documentation. Sites are serviced four days per week during the seasonal operating period. - Schedule quantities and part numbers: The schedule includes routine, quarterly, and annual cleaning at each office location, plus seasonal day-use sanitation. Detailed line items and quantities are listed below; the repeated schedule entries cover the base period and four option years. - Notable requirements: Office service is scheduled twice weekly, outside normal federal work hours. Contractor-provided office supplies and equipment are generally required; the Government provides specified day-use supplies and safety items. Minor biohazard cleanup and safety signage during recreation-site service are required. - Performance period: Six-month base period with four one-year options, for a maximum duration of five years. Recreation-site sanitation is seasonal during the option periods.

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 127EAY27Q0002 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for all technical, performance, reporting, and compliance requirements for contractor-provided campground sanitation and administrative office janitorial services for the Mt. Shasta–McCloud Ranger Districts.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 561720  The small business size standard is $22M.  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. 

Site Visit:

A site visit will be held on 13 October 2026 from 9:30 AM PDT to 11:30 AM PDT. The site visit will begin at the Mt Shasta Ranger Station & Visitor Center (204 West Almo St. Shasta, CA 96067). Please send the CO, Kari Hughes, kari.hughes@usda.gov an email if you will be attending. This will be the ONLY site visit for this requirement. Site visit is NOT mandatory.
