The U.S. Army seeks a part-time command historian and coordination consultant for the 11th Airborne Division in Alaska. - Government buyer: Department of the Army, 11th Airborne Division, Chief of Staff Office; contracting office is HQ RCO-AK at Fort Wainwright. This is a services requirement, with no products or part numbers specified. - Requested support: 0.5 FTE Command Historian support, including historical research, cataloging and archiving records and artifacts, creating a digital inventory and intake process, and providing a monthly historical vignette. - Support command visits and VIP events, including Joint Visitor Bureau operations and JPMRC Rotation 27-02; prepare briefings, plans, agendas, and post-visit reports. - Coordinate Army input to the JBER MOA and its 32 annexes, including reviews and semiannual Intermediate Command Summit support. - Prepare the annual 11th Airborne Division unit history report and draft a historical reporting SOP. - Advise on Army and Division history, archival research, education, training, veteran interviews, and coordination with outside organizations. - Location and notable requirements: Work is primarily at Building 1 (Perez Hall), Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The contractor must hold or obtain a Secret clearance within 60 days of implementation. - Period of performance: A 12-month base period and one 12-month option year are specified, for up to 24 months total under the stated options. A separate services-extension option may add up to six months.

This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services is prepared in accordance with FAR part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

Solicitation number W912D0-27-Q-A002 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) for 11th Airborne Division Historian and Coordination Support Services at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.  This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference.  The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov/far-overhaul.
