Union County, New Jersey, is seeking qualified accounting firms or individuals to provide countywide auditing and related financial consulting services. - Government buyer: County of Union, New Jersey — Office of the County Counsel. - OEMs and named vendors: No OEMs, vendors, or incumbent providers are identified; this is a professional-services procurement. - Requested services: - Annual statutory audit of County funds and accounts, including the Current, Trust, and Capital Funds and General Fixed Assets Account Group. - Single Audits of federal and state programs under applicable requirements; the referenced grant programs total more than $200 million. - Audits of the Deferred Compensation Plan; Community Development and Section 8 Housing Program; and sub-grantee records when requested. - Audits of the Prosecutor’s federal forfeited funds and state seized and forfeited funds accounts, and of the offices of the Prosecutor, Sheriff (including Corrections), County Clerk, and County Surrogate. - Review of budget, financial-statement, and debt-statement materials; preparation of supplemental debt statements; and assistance with financial statements and budget matters when requested. - As-needed telephone consultation on County financial and tax questions, plus mutually agreed additional services. - Notable requirements: Proposers must be Certified Public Accountants and Registered Municipal Accountants and meet the stated experience requirements. Work must follow applicable auditing standards, federal Uniform Guidance, and New Jersey requirements. No product part numbers or quantities apply.
Description
The County of Union is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and firms to provide specialized auditing and consulting services for January 1 through December 31, 2027. Scope includes the County’s annual audit and Single Audit, review of budget and financial documents, audits of specified plans and programs, and responses to financial and tax inquiries. Proposals must be submitted sealed as one original paper copy and one PDF copy on a thumb drive by October 29, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. EDT. One or more firms may be selected.
