Description

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, proposes to issue up to five winter-only public access easements for snowmachine use within the Dalton Highway corridor near Wiseman, Alaska. The easements would provide motorized access to adjacent federal lands and cover five proposed trails totaling approximately 31.4 miles and 228.36 acres, at a proposed width of 60 feet. The requested term is indefinite, and the easements may differ from the descriptions in the notice after review. Written comments are due November 8, 2026, by 5:00 p.m.
