Description

The contract is for coordinating and implementing tree planting operations for BC Timber Sales in the Kootenay Lake Field Unit. Approximately 531,074 seedlings are expected to be planted over 500 hectares, with approximately 100,000 fertilizer placements; sites identified could accommodate up to 592,640 seedlings. Planting units are in the Kootenay Lake TSA between Yahk and Duncan Lake, with operations expected approximately from mid-April to mid-June and a minimum production rate of 15,000 trees per day starting May 3, 2027.
