Each includes required electrical wiring and connections. The two unselected alternatives are to be removed from the contract by deductive change order. - Core work: Mobilization; well video inspection and reporting; temporary tanks and leak-proof discharge piping; well-screen chlorination; pump testing; pump and motor testing; transport and installation of the existing motor; reinstallation of the existing oil pot; well startup and purging; and site restoration. - Pump test schedule: Six-hour tests at 750, 1,500, and 2,500 GPM; 12-hour tests at 2,500, 3,000, and 3,500 GPM; and 24-hour tests at 2,500, 3,000, and 3,500 GPM. - Contingent work: Acid treatment of well screens, mechanical wire-brush cleaning, up to five screen or casing repairs, and a follow-up video inspection after brushing. - Notable requirements: Well and pump performance results inform the final pump selection; testing and reporting are required. A mandatory pre-bid conference is a prerequisite to bidding.
Description
The City of Beaumont is seeking bids for rehabilitation of Loeb Well No. 3 and replacement of its pump. The work includes well inspection and treatment, pump testing, supplying and installing a new pump and related equipment, testing and startup, and restoring the well site, in accordance with the plans and specifications. The bid also includes contingent extra-work items such as acid treatment, brush cleaning, screen and casing repairs, and follow-up video inspection. Attendance at the October 21, 2026 pre-bid conference is mandatory and is a prerequisite to bidding; responses are due October 29, 2026.
