The City of Irving’s Department of Arts and Culture is seeking on-call design, production, fabrication, delivery, and installation support for museum and exhibition graphics and signage. - Government buyer: City of Irving, Texas; Department of Arts and Culture (IDAC). The City’s Purchasing Department administers the solicitation. - Scope and estimated annual workload: Approximately 10–12 exhibitions, 6–8 pop-up banners, 15–20 vinyl-lettering projects, 6–8 entrance banners, and about nine exterior installations. These are estimates only; work is ordered as needed, with no guaranteed minimum. - Products and formats: Standard pop-up banners are 33 by 80 inches. Entrance banners are approximately 46 by 80 inches, printed on 13-ounce smooth scrim banner vinyl, with pole pockets, 3/4-inch dowel rod hangers, and grommets. Other work includes exhibit panels and labels, vinyl banners and graphics, interior signage, and graphics for glass and walls. - Exterior work: Graphics and art installations may be applied to brick, concrete, and aluminum panels. Examples include wall areas from about 4 by 8 feet to 8 by 10 feet and 3mm aluminum panels about 9.5 by 7.5 feet. The specifications name Alum Graphics as an example of digital print media or allow an approved equivalent; no specific OEM or prospective contractor is identified. - Services and deliverables: Design, image editing or enhancement, resizing, production-file preparation, fabrication, delivery, and installation. Design pricing must include up to two revision rounds. Contractors may be asked to provide editable or production-ready files and to remove and properly dispose of existing graphics before exterior replacements. - Notable requirements: The City must approve digital proofs before production. Standard work is generally expected within 15 business days after approval; larger projects may take four to five weeks, and accepted rush work is generally due within 72 hours. Contractors must protect artwork and historic spaces and may not use spray adhesives or similar airborne methods in galleries without written approval. - Budget and term: The annual contract amount is capped at $40,000. The initial term is approximately one year, with up to two additional one-year renewals. The estimated maximum across all three years is $120,000 if all renewal terms are exercised and the annual cap is fully used.
